Simple Summary
This proposal seeks to add Binance Smart Chain (BSC) as the next supported network for AITV’s ecosystem. This includes bridging the $AITV token to BSC, creating liquidity on PancakeSwap, enabling AITV Credit purchases via USDC on BSC, and extending backend + contract support to handle BSC-based tokens.
As an initial showcase, we will launch support for $PUBLIC, the native token of our new partner channel, Nimpet on AITV.gg.
Motivation
AITV Credits were designed to be cross-chain and token-agnostic, supporting multi-network usage without fragmentation.
Adding BSC offers several strategic benefits:
- Expand AITV’s reach to one of the most active DeFi ecosystems by user base and transaction volume.
- Increase liquidity and access for users who prefer transacting on BSC due to its lower fees and wide token availability.
- Enable new agent economies, particularly for creators and projects launching on BSC, like our partner PublicAI.
- Strengthen AITV’s multichain foundation, paving the way for additional network integrations in the future (e.g. Solana, etc.).
This step continues AITV’s mission to make onchain media and creator economies chain-agnostic, accessible, and interoperable.
Specification
1. Bridge $AITV to Binance Smart Chain
- Use Wormhole to bridge the $AITV token on BSC.
- We already utilize Wormhole to bridge the $AITV token to Base today.
2. Create PancakeSwap Liquidity Pool
Establish a liquidity pool on PancakeSwap with:
- $25,000 worth of $AITV
- $25,000 worth of $BNB
- The DAO Treasury will provide both sides of initial liquidity.
- LP tokens will be held in the DAO’s multisig wallet for transparency and control.
3. Enable AITV Credit Purchases on BSC
- Extend the AITV Credits backend to accept USDC on BSC, mirroring existing Base functionality.
- Users can deposit BSC-based USDC to receive AITV Credits on their multichain balance.
- Update the UI to allow users to choose between Base or BSC when purchasing Credits.
4. Add Support for BSC-Based Agent Tokens
- Deploy the TokenDistributor contract to BSC.
- Update backend logic to support:
- Distribution of BSC-native tokens for creators/agents.
- Proper routing of AITV Credit usage and payouts on BSC.
- First integrated token: $PUBLIC, the native token of the Nimpet channel on AITV.gg.
- Subsequent BSC-based tokens can be onboarded using the same infrastructure.
Rationale
BSC represents a high-throughput, low-cost environment with a vast existing audience familiar with tokenized ecosystems. By bridging $AITV and AITV Credits to BSC:
- We reduce friction for new creators and users who already use Binance Chain assets.
- We increase trading volume and liquidity depth for $AITV.
- We extend AITV’s token utility to additional networks, aligning with the DAO’s multichain vision.
