Motivation
Wave 2 expands the distribution of $AITV to highly engaged users and active partner communities, supporting AITV DAO’s goals of decentralization, participation, and ecosystem growth.
Season 2 introduced new missions, tools, and XP pathways, attracting a broader cohort of creators, developers, and users. Rewarding this group sustains momentum, strengthens alignment, and ensures governance representation for contributors.
Moreover, integrating partner ecosystems—such as Mr Freeman (Pre-TGE), Sproto ($BITCOIN), Nimpet ($PUBLIC), RetroDoges ($DOG), Gloria ($GLORIA), Burnie ($ROAST), EOLAS ($EOLAS), and SINT (Pre-TGE)—accelerates cross-community collaboration and increases awareness of AITV’s mission.

Rationale
The design of Wave 2 builds on lessons from Wave 1, incorporating community feedback and data-driven improvements:
Why this structure?
- Vested packages (majority allocation) incentivize deeper involvement and long-term alignment while giving users flexible claim options.
- Instant airdrops reward broad participation, including smaller users.
- Staking rewards strengthen governance by increasing the benefits of long-term commitment.
- Aura rewards recognize high-quality engagement beyond raw XP, rewarding superusers.
Why include partner communities?
To expand AITV’s reach and foster shared user growth across aligned ecosystems. Partnerships help introduce new audiences to the DAO and onboard communities.
Why End Season 2 on November 28th?
Short seasonal cycles support healthy engagement, reset opportunities for new users, and help keep the leaderboard fresh. For example:
- In Magic: The Gathering Arena, ranked seasons “run from the beginning to the end of each month so they last round 30 days on average”. (reference)
- In the mobile-game design article “How to Design Leaderboards for Your Mobile Game?”, the author writes: “Each season … typically lasts a month, the leaderboard resets, placing all players back in the initial tier.” (reference)
Thus we set Season 2 to conclude on November 28th, consistent with the 1- to 2-month range observed across leaderboard-driven ecosystems.
Why Have Wave 2 Airdrop in Early December?
With 5% of our token supply reserved for community airdrops, distributing via waves over 3-6 months aligns with industry norms and supports long-term ecosystem health.
- Airdrops staggered over time help broaden the token-holder base, improve price discovery and sustain activity (see e.g. case-studies of 3-month campaigns). (reference)
- A short buffer between the season close and airdrop date allows time for snapshot verification, sybil checks and operational readiness.
